It is a delicacy that my grandmother was preparing very often.
Too bad now everyday we prefer creams cakes in envelope or casserole with availability within weeks or months of preparations and look for simple, tasty and healthy.
- 250 g husked wheat
- 100 g raisins
- 150 g walnuts chopped
- a few teaspoons with honey to taste
- zest (lemon, orange)
- vanilla sugar
How do we prepare:
Wash in cold water more wheat.
Put the wheat in a larger pot, add water to cover about covering about one hand width and cook at low heat until the wheat is boiled.
After the wheat is boiled slip in a large bowl then mix it with honey or sugar, nuts, raisins and spices.
Cover the bowl with a clean towel, then then with a blanket, or something, to maintain as much warmth and aromas to interpenetrate.
